Perfect For Minature Bears
This fabric is the perfect and preferred choice for miniature bears. The backing is either a woven grid backing or a tightly woven twill. Upholstery velvet does not fray therefore the smallest of seam allowances can be achieved. The pile comes in various pile lengths from 1mm to 3mm, with or without guardhairs.
The upholstery velvet with guardhairs gives a wonderful real fur appearance only in miniature. It is possible with these fabrics to trim the pile back to reveal the "undercoat" pile and with this technique it is possible to achieve more character to a miniature bear's face.
