About Me
My name is Amanda Sambrook and I am the artist behind Sambrook Bears.
I am married and have been blessed with three children, all girls!
I have always loved to sew, in fact I bought my first sewing machine when I was about 12 or 13 years old. I used to design and make some of my own clothes back then. At the time I thought I looked the "bees knees", but looking back now, I wonder what everyone else thought!
About seven years ago I started to collect miniature teddy bears, after falling in love with a tiny artist bear called Nikita. My collection grew slowly over time with new "adoptions" for birthdays and special occasions. About five years ago I bought a teddy bear kit thinking I could combine my need to be creative with my love of bears. Well what can I say, I've been hooked ever since!
Every spare moment I have is spent designing and making bears. I get so much pleasure from each new creation, from the first sketch of an idea through to the final hug!
All of my bears are my own original designs and one of a kind, and I hope you can tell, from each little face looking back at you, that I have loved making every stitch!
All the bears that I make are one of a kind originals.
